A memorable moment doesn’t need to be a missed connection.

Beyond The Stage was bringing people together every month. But finding the next audience kept feeling like starting from scratch.

The story

My role: project and program manager

I joined the local and regional media production company to help make its monthly interview events easier to plan and repeat. One thing stood out: we were meeting artists and audience members without a reliable way to keep those relationships going.

I brought that gap to the CEO and developed the Orbit Booth, a table at each event where we could learn who came, what interested them, and how to stay in touch. The idea was simple: the people already in the room could become a community, rather than an audience we had to find all over again.

That thinking grew into Beyond The Stage Universe, a live platform where creatives, fans, and businesses supporting local projects can find news, collaborate, and stay connected between events. If you’d like to see how it works, ask me for a product demo.

For your idea, give those connections a way to stay in the loop.

Festival · Teamwork · Follow-through

Three months to turn conversations into a festival.

The headliner was paid and a venue had been lined up. What the team needed next was a shared way to see the work and get it done.

The story

My role: event director and project health consultant

I came into the first Infinite Cypher as event director and project health consultant, three months before the festival. There was a lot of work ahead, but no shared system showing who was doing what, what was due, or what still needed a decision.

The team already met in Discord, so asking everyone to learn a new meeting platform would have added another hurdle. I brought Notesbot into those meetings to capture who said what, then used the transcripts with Claude to help turn conversations into tasks in ClickUp.

Within the first month, we had a place to keep track of responsibilities, deadlines, and documents. But ClickUp still asked too much of people who needed to focus on making the festival happen. A long task list wasn’t helping if nobody wanted to dig through it.

So I used AI to turn those dense lists into clear, company-branded one-page PDFs. Each page laid out what needed doing, who was handling it, and when it was due. The team could read it, understand their part, and get to work without having to learn every corner of the software.

I also raised the need for an emergency plan and on-site medical support, drawing on lessons from other events and my experience directing Astral Echos. The team agreed to move money in the budget to provide medical support at the festival.

For your idea: start with how your people already work, then make the next step clearer.

Brand · Products · Community

A clothing brand people could see themselves in.

Storm Collection grew through clothes people wanted to wear and a community they wanted to be part of.

The story

My role: founder

I launched Storm Collection as an athleisure brand. I worked on what we were making and where it came from, while building a message that felt real to the people we wanted to reach.

The product choices and suppliers mattered, but so did the community around the clothes. Through Instagram and Facebook, I built relationships and gave people a reason to feel part of the brand. Getting the products in front of the right people helped that message travel further.

With the product, sourcing, community, and placement working together, revenue doubled month over month. It showed me how much stronger a brand can become when people have a reason to care about it, talk about it, and make it their own.

For your idea, give people something to belong to as well as something to buy.

HOW I THINK

The Mycelium Effect;

We don’t drink the Kool-Aid for our dreams. We eat our mushrooms, because what grows above ground depends on the connections underneath. I call it The Mycelium Effect: bringing the right people, ideas, and tools together so the whole thing has room to grow.
